HP ProLiant ML110 Server
Instead of upgrading my PC with more harddrives (noisy), I've
installed a server.
The ProLiant ML110 is an affordable but powerful server.
It's price is approx. 8.000NOK/800US$ (the same as a PC).
It comes standard with a hardware
RAID 5 controller for harddrive fault tolerance, and hotplug
SATA drives.
It supports up to 1TB of storage internally (unlimited
externally).
The ML110 isn't noisy either (as servers usually are).
I'm using the server for storing photo's, video files from my DV
video camera, and MP3 music.

Linksys Wireless G ADSL Router
I'm using the Linksys router to connect the ProLiant server to
my PC and other devices.
The Linksys have 4 x 10/100Mbps ports for ethernet connections. It
also have a wireless access point for devices supporting 11Mbps
and 54Mbps WiFi standards (802.11b and 802.11g).
Perfect if you have a laptop you want to use everywhere.

The Microsoft XBOX is a perfect device
for displaying pictures, listen to MP3 music and watching the
latest divx movies.
Take a standard XBOX, install a mod chip, and you have a
full blown multi media playback device. Yes, you can still
play games with it :-)
